The Foundation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children
operates under the name Child Focus
. It is a public service foundation.
7 days a week, 24 hours a day, the Foundation is completely dedicated to locating missing children and ending their sexual exploitation.
To report a disappearance, abduction or sexual abuse, only one free emergency number – the number 116 000 – is needed. By means of the chatroom « maintenantjenparle.be » young people can talk about the subject of sexual abuse in a context of complete confidence. Anyone discovering child pornography on the internet can report it anonymously on the public notification point stopchildporno.be
Public funds cover just under half the needs of the Foundation. These funds are negotiated on a per-project or an annual basis. Businesses and the general public account contribute for the remaining.
